Household Consumer Use

Only for Personal use of XFX Graphics Cards.

XFX-branded hardware products purchased in the United States and Canada come with a limited hardware warranty that extends to end-user customers/consumers.  Other persons in the distribution chain, including those purchasing hardware products for resale and commercial use are governed by a separate agreement. (below)

What and who is covered by this limited hardware warranty?
This limited hardware warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship in your — our end-user customer's — XFX-branded Graphics Cards purchased in the United States and Canada.

Products must be used in normal household consumer (non-commercial) fashion. For products used commercially are governed by a separate agreement. Household use is defined as graphics cards installed into desktop PC systems for personal use.

What is not covered by this limited hardware warranty?
This limited hardware warranty does not cover:

- Products that are not from an authorized reseller. Products purchased used from  Ebay, Craiglist, a person to person transaction, or similar methods carry NO Warranty. For a list of Authorized resellers visit the Where to Buy section of this website.
NOTE: 3rd party marketplace vendors at sites such as Amazon and Newegg are often not Authorized Retailers, items must be both "shipped and sold" by Amazon, Newegg, or corresponding retailer to be considered an Authorized Retailer,

- Software or drivers provided by XFX or third parties.

- Products used outside of normal home and personal use.  This includes industrial, business, mining, blockchain calculations, mining farms, rendering farms, computer clusters, folding, and server use.

- Problems that result from:
(1) External causes such as accident, abuse, or problems with electrical power.
(2) Usage that is not in accordance with product instructions.
(3) Failure to follow the product instructions or failure to perform preventive maintenance.
(4) Products that are not in their original condition or that are not complete with all original components.
(5) Problems caused by using accessories, parts, or components not supplied by XFX.

-Products for which XFX has not received payment. A copy of the dated original proof of purchase or invoice from the original retailer must be submitted to verify warranty status before repair or replacement can be authorized.

Can I service my graphics card myself without VOIDING Warranty?

For USA and Canada, you can service the graphics card yourself, piercing warranty stickers will not void the limited warranty. This includes replacing thermal paste, and cleaning out the fan/heastinks assembly of dust and debris. IMPORTANT: Any accidental physical damage to components on the card however will not be covered by the limited warranty, servicing the card is only recommended for PC Technicians and other IT professionals. Please take care when servicing a card, components can be sensitive and delicate.

**XFX has carefully selected the optimal thermal or fansink component for your graphics card model.  We do not encourage the removal of components due to damage that may result in the process. XFX understands that some enthusiasts may choose to replace the original component with their own cooling solution. To support the gaming community, it is required that you contact XFX prior to any modifications so that we can update your profile and product registration to avoid potential issues with warranty support.  In addition, XFX support will be able to walk through the installation with you or provide feedback and pointers on available options for your specific product.  You may even consider shipping your components to XFX and allow the technicians at XFX to perform the modification for you (shipping charges to XFX apply). Failure to contact XFX could result in termination of the limited warranty. For VEGA class products, it is recommended not to touch the cooling solution or thermal paste, the VEGA GPU and HBM memory are very sensitive and can be easily damaged compared to previous GPUs.

ANY Modifications done to a card must be reversible. Any card that needs to be sent in for warranty must be returned to 100% factory stock condition, including original cooling components.

XFX’S RESPONSIBILITY FOR MALFUNCTIONS AND DEFECTS IN HARDWARE IS LIMITED TO REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT AS SET FORTH IN THIS LIMTIED WARRANTY STATEMENT. ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES FOR THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED IN TIME TO THE TERM OF THE LIMITED WARRANTY PERIOD REFLECTED BELOW. NO WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WILL APPLY AFTER THE LIMITED WARRANTY PERIOD HAS EXPIRED. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limitation may not apply to you.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT LIABILITY BEYOND THE REMEDIES PROVIDED FOR IN THIS LIMITED HARDWARE WARRANTY OR FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY LIABILITY FOR THIRD-PARTY CLAIMS AGAINST YOU FOR DAMAGES, FOR PRODUCTS NOT BEING AVAILABLE FOR USE, OR FOR LOST DATA OR LOST SOFTWARE. OUR LIABILITY WILL BE NO MORE THAN THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT THAT IS THE SUBJECT OF A CLAIM. THIS IS THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT FOR WHICH WE ARE RESPONSIBLE.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

How does state law apply?
This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state (or jurisdiction to jurisdiction).

How long does this limited warranty last?
The limited hardware warranty for Graphics Cards depends on model series.

XFX Radeon RX 7000 Series
1) 3 years on MERC, QICK, and SWFT series graphics cards. With registration of product at the  XFX support portal.
2) 2 Years on AMD Reference Model graphics cards. Including but not limited to the following models: RX-79XMBABF9, RX-79TMBABF9, Models starting with RX-79TMBA or RX-79XMBA .

XFX Radeon RX 6000 Series
1) 3 years on MERC, QICK, and SWFT series graphics cards. With registration of product at the  XFX support portal.
2) 2 Years on AMD Reference Model graphics cards. Including but not limited to the following models: RX-69TMATFD8, RX-68TMATFD8, RX-68LMATFD8, RX-67TMYDFD8

XFX Radeon Radeon VII
1) 2 Years with original purchase invoice from the original retailer.

XFX Radeon RX 5000 Series
1) 3 years on THICC, RAW, Triple Dissipation, and DD series graphics cards. With registration of product at the XFX support portal.
2) 2 Years on single fan 5700 and 5700 XT graphics cards. Including but not limited to the following models: RX-57XL8MFGR, RX-57XL8MFG6, RX-57XT8MFDR, RX-57XT8MFD6

XFX Radeon RX 500 & Vega Series
1) 3+2 Years on GTR and GTR-S Models. (See below for what 3+2 covers) With registration of product at the  XFX support portal.
2) 3 Years on GTS, RS, and Vega Dual Fan, and dual fan edition models. With registration of product at the   XFX support portal.
3) 2 Years on Vega Single fan and single fan edition models.
XFX Radeon RX 400 Series1) 2 Year Standard on RX-480M8BFA6, RX-480M4BFA6, RX-480M8BBA6. With registration of product at the   XFX support portal.
2) 3 Years on RS models. With registration of product at the   XFX support portal.
3) 3 + 2 Years on GTR models. With registration of product at the   XFX support portal.

XFX Radeon R 300-Series
1) 2 Year Standard. With registration of product at the   XFX support portal.

XFX Radeon R 200-Series
1) 2 Year Standard. With registration of product at the   XFX support portal.
2) Double Dissipation (dual fan) models can receive Limited Lifetime with registration within 30 days of purchase.

HD 7000 Series
1) 2 Year Standard, With registration of product at the  XFX support portal.2) Double Dissipation models can receive Limited Lifetime with registration within 30 days of purchase.

XFX Radeon HD 6000, HD 5000, and HD 4000 Series Graphics Cards
1) 2 Year Standard - Limited Lifetime with registration within 30 days of purchase.

XFX GeForce GT 640, GT 630, 520, GT 430, 200, 9000, 8000, 7000, 6000 Series Graphics Cards purchased after April 17, 2007.
1) 2 Year Standard - Limited Lifetime with registration within 30 days of purchase.

What does  3 + 2 warranty cover?
3 Year Limited Warranty for defects in manufacturing on the card.

5 Year (3+2) Limited Warranty for defects or failure in the cards Fan(s).

The limited hardware warranty on products qualifying for the 3+2 warranty begins on the date of purchase. A copy of the dated original proof of purchase must be submitted to verify limited warranty before repair or replacement can be authorized.

Which products are eligible for a limited lifetime hardware warranty?

The following Graphics Cards are eligible for an extension of the standard two-year limited hardware warranty:
1) XFX Radeon R 200-Series Double Dissipation Edition and HD 7000 Series Double Dissipation Edition Graphics Cards.
2) XFX Radeon HD 7000 Series Graphics Cards with 10-digit model numbers ending in “R” (example: “FX-797A-TDFR”)
3) XFX Radeon HD 6000, HD 5000, and HD 4000 Series Graphics Cards.
4) XFX GeForce GT 640, GT 630, 520, GT 430, 200, 9000, 8000, 7000, 6000 Series Graphics Cards purchased after April 17, 2007.

If you register any of the specified products noted above online at http://www.xfxforce.com within 30 days of purchase, your limited warranty will be EXTENDED for the duration of your life. Registration within 30 days of the date of purchase is a condition precedent to receiving the limited lifetime warranty.***

The limited hardware warranty on all XFX-branded products begins on the date of purchase. A copy of the dated original proof of purchase must be submitted to verify warranty status before repair or replacement can be authorized.

*** The limited warranty for XFX Limited Edition graphics cards lasts for a period of two years and is non-transferable.

How long is the limited warranty on a replacement product after warranty servicing?

The standard limited warranty period is not extended if we repair or replace a warranted product or any parts. Products with a 2 year, 3 year, or 3+2 year limited warranty will maintain the original limited warranty from the purchase date.

For qualifying products properly registered under the limited lifetime warranty program, a replacement card that is issued within the first two years of the limited warranty period will also receive the benefit of the limited lifetime warranty coverage. A third replacement within the first two years of the original warranty period will disqualify the limited lifetime warranty coverage for the original owner—and will default to the following coverage for the replacement item:

Within 2 years of limited warranty start date:

After 2 years from limited warranty start date:
1 year limited warranty

XFX may change the availability of limited hardware warranties, at its discretion, but any changes will not be retroactive.

May I transfer the limited hardware warranty?
The limited hardware warranty for selected Graphics Cards may only be transferred to one owner after the original owner.***

The following Graphics Cards are eligible for limited warranty transfer:
XFX GeForce GT 520, GT 430, GeForce 200, GeForce 9000, GeForce  8000, GeForce 7000, GeForce 6000 Series Graphics Cards purchased after April 17, 2007

The following Graphics Cards are NOT eligible for limited warranty transfer (The transferable double-lifetime warranty ended in models released after ~2015):

ALL XFX Radeon HD 6000, HD 5000, HD 4000 Series Graphics Cards. R5, R7, R9, Vega, Radeon VII, and RX Series graphics cards are not transferable.


Limited hardware warranties for Graphics Cards may be transferred if the new owner registers online at (XFXsupport) within 90 days of the purchase from the original owner.  This new owner registration process is a condition precedent to transferring the limited hardware warranty for Graphics Cards. The duration of the new owner’s limited hardware warranty will be limited to the duration of the original owner’s limited hardware warranty.

Product warranties in the Radeon HD 7000, R5/R7/R9 200, R7/R9 300, RX 400, RX 500, Vega, Radeon VII, and RX 6000 series are not transferable.

*** The limited warranty for XFX Limited Edition graphics cards lasts for a period of two years and is non-transferable.

What do I do if I need warranty service?
To request a limited hardware warranty repair, go to the support section of our web site (XFXsupport). Your product must be registered to fill out a support ticket.

What will XFX do?
During the duration of the limited hardware warranty, XFX or its authorized representative will repair any XFX-branded hardware products returned to us that prove to be defective in materials or workmanship. If XFX or its authorized representative is not able to repair the product, we will replace it with a performance-comparable product. XFX offers only refurbished products or parts that have been inspected and tested and make sure they are in good quality.

When you contact us via phone or web, we will issue a Return Material Authorization Number for you to include with your return. You must return the products to us in their original or equivalent packaging with all original components, prepay all shipping charges, and insure the shipment or accept the risk if the product is lost or damaged in shipment.

If we determine that the problem is not covered under this limited warranty, we will notify you and inform you of any service alternatives that are available to you on a fee basis.  If you want the product returned, you will have to pay the shipping fees.

How will you fix my product?
We use new and refurbished parts made by various manufacturers in performing warranty repairs and in building replacement parts and systems. Refurbished parts and systems are parts or systems that have been returned to XFX, some of which were never used by a customer.

All parts and systems are inspected for quality. Replacement parts and systems are covered for the remaining period of the limited hardware warranty for the product you bought. XFX owns all parts removed from repaired products.


COMMERICAL USE

Only for commercial use of XFX Graphics cards.

XFX-branded hardware products purchased in the United States and Canada come with a limited hardware warranty for products used for Commercial (Non-Household) use. Products used in normal household consumer fashion are governed by a separate agreement. (above)

This limited hardware warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship in your XFX Graphic cards used commercially. Commercial use is defined as any use outside of normal desktop personal computer use. This includes industrial, business, mining, mining farms, rendering farms, computer clusters, and server use. Products used in normal household consumer fashion are governed by a separate agreement. (above)

What is not covered by this limited hardware warranty?
This limited hardware warranty does not cover:

The limited hardware warranty for Graphics Cards depends on model series. XFX Radeon RX Series, Radeon VII, and Vega Series Graphics Cards: 3 Months to 12 Months as indicated by purchase agreement. If no indication is made, a standard 12 month limited warranty applies.

The limited hardware warranty on products qualifying products begins on the date of purchase from the original authorized retailer. A copy of the dated original proof of purchase must be submitted to verify warranty before repair or replacement can be authorized. How long is the limited warranty on a replacement product after warranty service?

May I transfer the limited hardware warranty?
The limited hardware warranty Graphics Cards used commercially may not be transferred.

Limited Warranty on XFX Power Supplies for North America (USA & Canada)

This warranty doesnt not apply to power supplies purchased outside of the United States and CanadaXFX-branded hardware products purchased in the United States and Canada come with a limited hardware warranty that extends to end-user customers.

Other persons in the distribution chain, including those purchasing hardware products for resale, are governed by a separate agreement.

What is covered by this limited hardware warranty?
This limited hardware warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship in your — our end-user customer's — XFX-branded Power Supplies purchased in the United States and Canada.

What is not covered by this limited hardware warranty?
This limited hardware warranty does not cover:Software or drivers provided by XFX or third parties.Problems that result from: (1) external causes such as accident, abuse, or problems with electrical power, (2) usage that is not in accordance with product instructions, (3) failure to follow the product instructions or failure to perform preventive maintenance; (4) products that are not in their original condition or that are not complete with all original components, or (5) problems caused by using accessories, parts, or components not supplied by XFX.

How long is the limited warranty on a replacement product (after RMA)?
The standard warranty period is not extended if we repair or replace a warranted product or any parts.XFX may change the availability of limited hardware warranties, at its discretion, but any changes will not be retroactive.

May I transfer the limited hardware warranty?
The limited hardware warranty for XFX Power Supplies are non-transferable.

How long does this limited warranty last (Graphics Cards)?
The limited hardware warranty for Graphics Cards lasts for a time period of two years. The limited hardware warranty on all XFX-branded products begins on the date of purchase from an Authorized Reseller or Distributor. A copy of the dated original proof of purchase must be submitted to verify warranty repair or replacement.

How long does this limited warranty last (power supplies)?

The limited hardware warranty for XTS, XTR, TS, and Pro Series  Power Supplies lasts for a time period of five years. Except models ending with GREN (green series), which carry a 2 year warranty The limited hardware warranty for XT series Power Supplies lasts for a time period of three years.

May I transfer the limited hardware warranty?
The limited hardware warranty for XFX Products are non-transferable.

What do I do if I need warranty service?
It is recommended to contact the authorized supplier you purchased the graphics card from for initial warranty support. If for some reason the authorized reseller is unable to assist with warranty you may then contact XFX direct to see what options are available.

To request a limited hardware warranty repair direct from XFX, go to the support section of our web site (XFX support portal.). Your product must be registered to fill out a support ticket.

What will XFX do?
During the duration of the limited hardware warranty, XFX or its authorized representative will repair any XFX-branded hardware products returned to us that prove to be defective in materials or workmanship. If XFX or its authorized representative is not able to repair the product, we will replace it with a performance-comparable product. XFX offers only refurbished products or parts that have been inspected and tested and make sure they are in good quality. When you contact us via phone or web, we will issue a Return Material Authorization Number for you to include with your return. You must return the products to us in their original or equivalent packaging with all original components, prepay shipping charges, and insure the shipment or accept the risk if the product is lost or damaged in shipment. We will return the repaired or replacement products to you.

How will you fix my product?
We use new and refurbished parts made by various manufacturers in performing warranty repairs and in building replacement parts and systems. Refurbished parts and systems are parts or systems that have been returned to XFX, some of which were never used by a customer. All parts and systems are inspected for quality. Replacement parts and systems are covered for the remaining period of the limited hardware warranty for the product you bought. XFX owns all parts removed from repaired products.
